Events of Pazhassi Raja NSS College

On June 26, a rally was conducted in Mattannur town in connection with the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Trafficking under the leadership of Mattannur Police Station. NSS Units 28 and 29, along with NCC, NSS, SPC, JRC, and Little Kites members from various schools and colleges, participated in the rally.

On 22 June 2026, NSS Unit 28-29, NCC, and the Department of Physical Education jointly organized a Yoga Day programme. The session was conducted by Ravi Krishnan Sir, promoting the importance of yoga for a healthy lifestyle.

As part of Reading Day, the NSS Unit conducted a Quiz Competition and a Reading Competition on 19.06.2026. Students participated actively in both events.

Winners

Zoology Department observed World Environment Day on 5th June with various activities aimed at promoting environmental awareness. The programs included tree plantation, cleaning and displaying of placards and presentation by the students. The activities encouraged all the participants to adopt eco-friendly habits and contribute towards environmental conservation.

As part of Ramayana Month celebrations, various competitions were conducted from August 16 onwards, including a Ramayana quiz and Ramayana recitation.

A reading competition was organized for college students. A few students participated, and they were honored with certificates.

Ms.Nithya Muraleedharan, Research Scholar, NIT Surathkal inaugurated Maths association at 10.30AM. Prize distributed for the competition winners. She has delivered a talk on Research methodology and Cominatorics flow. Afternoon treasure hunt was conducted for Maths students. Gokul and team of II pg won the game.

Department organised mathematics quiz, SUDOKU Competition and Rubik's cube solving competition on 06-02-25. Twenty three pair of students from various departments participated in the quiz competition. Nandhana Krishnan and Malavika P of III B Sc Mathematics won first place and Megha VR and Aparna A of I M Sc Maths won second place. Twenty nine students from various departments participated in SUDOKU Competition. Athul Babu of III B Sc Mathematics won first place and Preethika K of II B Com won second place. Out of nine students competed in RUBIK' s cube, Muhammad Fajas of I DC Plant Science won first place and Parthan P of I DC Plant Science hold the second place.

PG Department of Commerce organised a financial awareness program in collaboration with NSE, and the sessions were handled by Mr.Manu Murali(Director at Dyuthi Centre for Excellence, Resource Person of ORC, SEBI, NISM, NSE, NCFE, and DRP of DIC )

Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Pazhassi Raja NSS College, Mattanur is conducting a one day orientation programme on 27.07.2023 for the faculty members on the topic Four year UG Programme which is to be implemented from the next academic year onwards.
